Adayana Selected to Provide Persistent Learning Environment to TRADOC

Falls Church, VA - The Combined Arms Center-Training/Army Training Support Center (CAC-T/ATSC), has selected the Adayana Government Group to implement a Multi-user Online Virtual Exercise (MOVE) to meet the US Army’s requirement for Phase 1 of the Persistent Learning Capability (PLC). The Army will use MOVE to train Battalion and Brigade staffs at Ft. Bliss for a one year period. MOVE will enable delivery of various types of collaborative and Interactive Multimedia Instruction (IMI) via a Tactical Operations Center-like experiential interface. 

This phase focuses on Doctrine and Tactics Training (DTT) for Soldiers within the Infantry Brigade Combat Team (IBCT). The intent is to field courseware, mobile training delivery devices, and instructor and learner support services to the 3rd BCT /1st Armored Division as the First Unit Equipped (FUE) for Unmanned Ground Sensors (UGS). Adayana will create the MOVE capability and provide support services required for a one year, 150-user roll-out to support soldiers at Ft. Bliss, Texas. Based on the 1^st year results, the government may opt to extend the effort and period-of-performance to support DTT for additional Brigade Combat Teams at other locations. 

The new online, collaborative PLC concept is being formulated to support the US Army’s ARFORGEN cycle and the Brigade Combat Team Modernization (BCTM) initiative. Also supporting the Maneuver Center of Excellence (MCOE) at Ft. Benning, Georgia, Adayana will utilize its distributed, collaborative, low overhead learning technology and instantiate a persistent on-line training venue where geographically distributed trainees and instructors can engage one another in honing battle staff skills for planning tactical responses to realistic tactical problems and scenarios.  

Server-based, with browser-based clients running on wireless mobile delivery devices, MOVE will provide an immersive training environment with personnel and equipment avatars, 2D and 3D cultural geographic features, targets and objectives, and a full range of training collaboration tools, and low overhead, “puckster-free” constructive simulation exercise playback capabilities. MOVE also provides the ability for learners to reach out to other IMI and reference materials as needed by Soldiers to obtain their learning objectives.
