Adayana Government Group Promotes Team Members from Within
FALLS CHURCH, VA –The Adayana Government Group announced promotions for team members Marlies Petruccelli and Melissa Sanders, both in the Falls Church, Va., office. Petruccelli was named VP of Government Operations, and Sanders will serve as the new Executive Account Manager of the Civilian Sector, the role previously held by Petruccelli.
“Marlies and Melissa have both made significant contributions to the development of the Adayana Government Group and our clients,” said Jeff Kidwell, Government Group President. “We look forward to watching their continued successes in their new roles.
Petruccelli began her career with Adayana in 2004 as the Executive Account Manager of the Civilian Sector. “Marlies’ exposure as an Account Manager has led us to some significant partnership opportunities within the Civilian sector.” Kidwell continued, “In addition to her role as program and account manager, Marlies has served on our Government Group leadership team and will be a perfect fit as our new VP of Government Operations.”
Petruccelli has worked nearly 20 years in management consulting to federal and state government, beginning as a Transportation Engineer for TRW Environmental Safety Systems. She then served as Program Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers for several governmental agencies, including the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), the Department of Defense (DoD), and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Petruccelli then sharpened her program management skills while at VeriSign, Inc., before coming to Adayana to serve as Executive Account Manager of the Civilian Sector for six years.
Petruccelli’s promotion provided Melissa Sanders of Adayana Government Group the opportunity for promotion to Executive Account Manager of the Civilian Sector.
Sanders was promoted after one year of service to Adayana Government Group as a Senior Program Manager responsible for contracts via multiple contract vehicles, including OPM TMA for various agencies such as the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Veterans’ Affairs (VA), United States Postal Service (USPS), and the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD).
“Melissa has ensured that our clients receive the attention and quality of work that they deserve,” said Kidwell. “Her dedication to the team’s projects and close attention to client needs has made her an incredible asset to the team. She will bring a unique perspective to the Government Group leadership table with her various experiences in the agriculture and government industries.”
Sanders graduated from the Ohio State University with a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Communication. Prior to joining the Adayana team, she worked for Fleishman Hillard International Communications, McCormick Advertising Agency, and AdFarm in various account management positions.
